About Us
The HBA Story...
In 2001 I owned a horse that presented a major bit evasion, with my other horses I had never really experienced such a dramatic problem. I sought expert advice from horsemen saddleries, knowledgeable and women but bitting the horse harshly or clamping the mouth closed was the not going to get to the core of the problem.
The more I spoke to all sorts of equestrian professionals it became evident that there was little or no specific bitting specialists for accurate product knowledge backed up by hands on knowledge - so I began my own pursuit to gain both practical and informed bitting expertise and experience.
My quest for knowledge has taken me to the United States and Europe and many training opportunities across the U.K. Over the course of the last 16 years I have worked with bit manufacturers, instrumental in design and promotion.
I have worked with riders from all types of disciplines and levels. I have been invited by British eventing, British Dressage and the lorinery and saddlery societies to give talks and demonstrations sharing my theories and approach to bitting. Although I now have a wealth of knowledge and experience the horses can still throw me a curve ball now and again and this only fuels my passion to learn and achieve the best results for my equine and human clients.

Thankyou for visiting our website. If you would like to discuss any of our services in more detail or talk about how one of my bit courses might assist you, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
